The Indian Army has invited applications for its internship programmes, offering young talent an opportunity to work across domains such as technology, artificial intelligence, and cyber security.
Spearheaded by Wargaming Development Centre (WARDEC), the Indian Army Internship Program (IAIP) 2025 has invited applications from students of various universities and colleges for the internships being offered in the domain and fields of Database Management, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality technology, User Experience/User Interface/Designing.

The 75-day internships will be conducted between January 1 and March 31, with registrations opening on Monday. Applicants will be called for interviews on December 10.
Highlighting about the upcoming internship, ADGPI stated that the interns would be given recognised certificate by the Indian Army besides getting a potential recruitment pathway and project incubation opportunities.
Earlier, Deputy Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Rakesh Kapoor said the Army Internship Programme aims to give young people a chance to work with the Indian Army in a mutually beneficial framework across fields such as cyber technology, AI, drones, mass communication and accounting. He added that interning with the Army is a distinguished addition to any résumé.
Stating that the pilot phase had a lot of students desirous of joining the program, Kapoor said, “Our experience in the pilot paid programme conducted this year has been very encouraging. It will be an annual feature hereon.
“This annual programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application, providing hands-on experience in domains critical to national development and defence modernisation. On the civil-military fusion aspect, in order to channelise national resources more effectively. The idea of civil-military fusion stems from the need to optimise the national resources and have a whole of nation approach for national security,” he said.
